About the White Desert in Egypt
The White Desert is an Egyptian national park established as a protected area in 2002. It can be found in the Farafra Depression.
Large white chalk rock formations, formed by wind and sand erosion, can be found throughout the park. There are also cliffs (near the northern end of the Farafra Depression), sand dunes (part of the Great Sand Sea), Wadi Henais, and the oases at Ain al-Maqfi and Ain al-Wadi.
The park is home to various creatures, such as the endangered sand gazelle and the vulnerable dorcas gazelle, as well as Barbary sheep, jackals, Rüppell's and red foxes, fennec foxes, and sand cats.

Day 1: Welcome to Egypt - Assistance at Cairo Airport - Cairo Hotel.
- A reginatravel.com representative will be waiting for you at Cairo Airport upon arrival to meet you and assist you through passport control (visa procedures) with smooth check-in at the airport.
- Assistance in baggage area and customs procedures with hospitality.

- Transfer to your hotel in Cairo by private air-conditioned car for check-in and relaxation at your Cairo hotel.
Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Visit the Giza Pyramids - Egyptian Museum - Tour of Cairo.
- Breakfast at your hotel and meet your tour guide to start your day trip in Cairo.
- Visit the Giza Pyramids and a panoramic view of all the pyramids, the Valley Temple and the Sphinx.
- Discover how the pyramids were built in ancient Egypt? And explore who built the pyramids of Giza?
- Then head to visit the Papyrus Institute and give a lecture on ancient Egyptian life and paper making in ancient Egypt.
- Lunch will be served at a local restaurant with delicious Egyptian dishes and Egyptian food tasting at a local restaurant.
- Head to the Egyptian Museum tour where you will see the locals on the streets with a Cairo tour.
- In the Egyptian Museum you will see the treasures of King Tutankhamun.
- See the materials and tools of life and industry in ancient Egypt thousands of years ago on a tour of the Egyptian Museum.
- Head to downtown Cairo where you will visit Islamic Cairo with a walk along Moaz Street and Khan El Khalili Market in the Hussein area.
- Then transfer to the Cairo Hotel to relax and rest and spend the night at the Cairo Hotel.
Day 3: Cairo Fly to Aswan - Aswan Day Trip - Nile Cruise.
- Breakfast at Cairo hotel after check-out.
- Reception and transfer to Cairo Airport for travel to Aswan.
Upon arrival in Aswan, your guide will be waiting for you to start your Nile cruise.
- Driving past the old Aswan Dam (built in 1898).
The trip begins with heading to the Nile Port to sail the boat to reach Isis Island to visit the Temple of Philae.
Your tour guide will take you on a tour around the magnificent Temple of the Goddess Isis to explore the secrets behind the Pharaohs.
- Then visit the unfinished obelisk and the granite quarry to discover how the ancient Egyptians extracted and carved stones from the quarry.
- After completion, transfer to board the Nile cruise.
- Have lunch on board the Nile cruise.
- Afternoon sailing on a felucca (traditional sailing boat) on the Nile River in Aswan.
- Dinner and overnight on board the cruise ship in Aswan.
Day 4: Cruise the Nile - Visit Kom Ombo Temple - Sail to Edfu.
- Have breakfast on board the cruise ship.
- Start the day by sailing towards Kom Ombo.
- Lunch on board the cruise ship with sailing to Kom Ombo.
- Arrival in Kom Ombo, and visit the Temple of Kom Ombo (dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris).
- Back to the Nile cruise.
- Sail to Edfu and enjoy the beautiful views of the Nile Valley.
- Arrival in Edfu, dinner and overnight on board the cruise ship in Edfu.
Day 5: Cruise the Nile and visit Luxor Temple at night - Luxor.
Breakfast on board the Nile cruise.
- Enjoy sailing on the ship towards Luxor.
- Enjoy a fun time on the sun deck while cruising the Nile River.
- Sail to Esna Lock, have lunch on board and sail towards Luxor.
Esna Lock crossing is the best part of your trip to Egypt.
- Upon arrival in Luxor, be prepared for our next excursion which will be to Luxor Temple at sunset and tour the finest example of ancient Egyptian art.
- After this wonderful visit, your guide will take you back to the Nile cruise.
- Dinner and overnight on board the Nile cruise.
Day 6: Luxor Day Trip, West Bank & Tutankhamun's Tomb - Cairo.
- Breakfast on board and disembarkation from the Nile cruise.
- Departure to end your Luxor tour by visiting the West Bank of Luxor.
- Visit the Valley of the Kings with a visit to three royal tombs of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs.
- Visit the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon.
- On-time transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo.
- Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met and assisted with transportation to your hotel.
Overnight at Cairo Hotel.
Day 7: Cairo - White Desert Trip - Overnight at Desert Camp.
- Early morning gathering at Cairo hotel after breakfast and check-out.
- Start your adventure trip to the White Desert (4 hours drive) with a stop along the way for rest and a little relaxation.
- Upon arrival at the first oasis (Bahariya), stop for lunch and enjoy the Bedouin lifestyle.
- Then stop to climb the Black Mountain, Crystal Mountain, crossing the Valley of Miracles.
- Drive in a 4X4 vehicle in the Western Desert to reach the White Desert with beautiful limestone formations and white rocks around you.
- At sunset we start camping for a barbecue dinner.
- Overnight stay will be in a desert tent on the White Desert.
Day 8: White Desert - Cairo Airport.
- Early morning breakfast on the white desert.
- Tour the White Desert and stop at the Bahariya Oasis.
- You can stop at the well to take a shower.
- Head to Cairo Airport to return home with beautiful memories.
